i spent a year ttc with my first son i tried opk,bbt and every other method under the son and it turned out i wasnt ovulating on the 15th day i ovulate on the 8th day after my period starts i suggest you have sex every other day after your period end this way your sure to hit that day a mans sperm can live in the vaginal secretions for 3 days. good luck and try not to stress about it that dosent help.rememer to have fun thats the best part of making a baby!!!

He has been given a matter of months to live but i have always wanted a child with him. we were due to get married but had to cancel. i want to know how much of a risk we would be taking if we were to start trying now. we obviously don’t have years to wait but if there is a substantial risk of abnormalities then we won’t try but if the risk is very small we will definitely consider it. if any one knows much about this i would really appreciate some advice. Thank you

I would wait about 6 weeks to start trying, just to make sure the chemo is out of his system.

Chemo can cause infertility, but it doesn’t always. If time is of the essence, he can get his sperm count checked. I would say there is not a substantial risk for fetal abnormalities, but infertility there is a chance.

please remember that if you are Trying to Conceive you really shouldn’t stress out about having sex! Sex should be fun not a chore. If you are under 35 years of age, and have been trying to get pregnant for over 1 year then go see an specialist or an obgyn. If you are over the age of 35, and have been trying to get pregnant for over 6 months, then go see a specialist. Also please keep in mind that 30% of the time it might be your male partner, and he needs to get tested for sperm mobility.

A great book for you to read about fertility is called, "Fertility Facts" by March of Dimes. A great specialist that I saw when I was having trouble conceiving is Dr. Colin Smikle, and Dr. Kao from Laurel Fertility. Make sure you write down your questions and ask them lots of questions. Their staff has great bedside manners. Their website is www.laurelivf.com

A good thing to try for PCOS is clomid, and IUI. If that doesn’t work try doing the shot hormone, and IUI. Then try IVF. Dr. Kao and Dr. Smkile are the best there is out there, graduated top of their class at a top tier college

Good news is there is always hope for you to get pregnant! Dr. Kao and Dr. Smikle both said I had PCOS, and now I am pregnant. What I did was, I made sure I exercised at least 5 days a week, and I ate healthy, and I got pregnant naturally. PCOS is a metabolic issue keep that in mind, so please work out together with your husband, friend, sister at least 1.5 hours a day, and eat healthy. Good Luck to you!
