why is it so easy to ger pregnant right after having a baby?

Author: everyone says how easy it is to get pregnant right after birth but i have never heard why. do you know?
by right after i dont mean within minutes….im talking about the first couple of months
Its because your body is re-adjusting after 9 months of pregnancy hormones so ovulation can be irregular. Some wrongly believe that if you havent got your period back then you wont get pregnant and dont use brith control. Some ppl also wrongly believe that you cant get pregnant while breastfeeding, you can.

Your estrogen levels are peaked and your body is/was in "baby mode"… I know lots of people that got pregnant within weeks of giving birth.. Me, couldn’t even think about sex after my first was born…

It’s totally a hormone thing. Even people who had trouble conceiving the first time can totally get pregnant right after giving birth.

Because your cycle isn’t back to normal yet, and many people ‘chance it’- have sex without getting back on birth control first. And people assume that you won’t be able to get pregnant until AFTER you get your periods again, which is not true. You ovulate approximately 2 weeks prior to your first post-baby period.
Also, some people believe that breast-feeding is a fool proof birth control method, and it’s not, not at all. My SIL’s ex-BIL is living proof of that!
