It can sometimes take a few months or longer to get pregnant, but it also happen right away. It&#039;s really up to chance for the most part. That said, why would you be &quot;whatever&quot; about a pregnancy? It&#039;s not like, &quot;oh, maybe I&#039;ll go out to dinner, but if not whatever.&quot; A baby is so incredibly life changing. It makes sense to really think about it and discuss what the future ramifications are. Are you really ready? Is your partner? Are you both stable financially? Are you ready to sacrifice everything?
