What are ways to prevent morning sickness when pregnant?
What are some ways ladies that you have prevented or helped illeviate morning sickness and nausea when you were pregnant. Were there things you ate, or things you did to control it? I heard that eating very little before bed and crackers helps. Is this true?
Thanks
I had such bad nausea while pregnant that I actually lost 15 lbs! My doctor told me to take, as crazy as it sounds, Unisom and B-6 vit. She said take it at night and it helps calm the nausea the next day, and she assured me it was completely safe for my unborn child. This was the only thing that help curb my nausea. Of course you should ask your Doctor first, but I hope this helps!

I had crackers by my bed and i had some cause i was nauseous and i ended up throwing them up. They did not help me at all. I noticed that eating something every hour helps with my nausea… like an orange, bagel, cereal, banana… etc. EDIT: but not eating much before i go to bed. So not literally every hour of the day.

crackers didn’t help me at all. You can eat a little bit every couple hours…that seems to work for some…but again…it didn’t help me. Sometimes peppermint or Cinnamon candies worked for me. but I pretty much just had to wait it out until my second trimester to feel better.

I had severe morning sickness and none of the regular things help elevate it. My OB/GYN ended up prescribing me something called Diclectin. It really help with the morning sickness.

Drinking loads of water. I always had a water bottle handy, also adding ice to the water helped too. Icy water was so so so good during pregnancy.
Eating small meals, letting someone else prepare the meals (I couldn’t eat if I fixed the meal)
